SERVICES

First Philec Solar Corporation (FPSC) offers wafer slicing services. It is the first large-scale silicon wafer slicing company in the Philippines. It is envisioned to have 100 multi-wire saws (MWS) producing 240 million wafers annually, which will support approximately 750 megawatts of solar energy. At full build, FPSC will be one of the biggest of its kind in Southeast Asia.

The company banks on cutting edge multi-wire saw technology to convert silicon ingots into thin silicon wafers of excellent surface quality. With its high-throughput wiresaw machines and fully automated cleaning systems, it delivers wafers that meet high efficiency solar-grade requirements.

First Philec Solar Corporation is currently the primary supplier of solar-grade silicon wafers of SunPower, the world leader in high-efficiency mono-crystalline silicon solar cell production.

FPSC's line of products

Wafer Thickness (microns) Wafer Size (mm)
170 125x125
175 156x156
185 125x125
200 125x125
200 156x156

First Philec Solar Corporation is prepared to meet customers’ demands for their wafers in response to market changes. The company is equipped with technologies that allow slicing of silicon ingots into wafers that are thinner than 160 microns.

To support its wafer slicing operations, FPSC's facility has the following:

Wire Guide Roller Regrooving System .

Slurry Recovery System.

The plant houses laboratory tools that allow FPSC to do its own slurry particle analysis and residual metal content measurements.
