It is envisioned to have 100 multi-wire saws (MWS) producing 240 million wafers annually; this will support approximately 720 megawatts of solar energy. At full build, FPSC will be the biggest of its kind in Asia.

FPSC has the latest Wire Saw available, capable of producing up to 120 micron-thin wafers, and Fully Automated Cleaning Systems.

FPSC is a Joint Venture Agreement between First Philippine Electric Corporation (First Philec) of the Lopez Group of Companies owning 80%, and SunPower Philippines Manufacturing Limited (SPML) of SunPower (San Jose, USA) owning 20%.
